Shasta View Academy 2026/27 Enrollment Information

Shasta View Academy will hold open enrollment for the 2026-2027 school year from 9:00 AM on Monday, April 6th, to 4:00 PM on Friday, April 10th.  Parents/Guardians interested in enrolling their students should complete the “Interest in Enrollment” form available on the school website's enrollment page (shastaviewacademy.org).  At the conclusion of the Open Enrollment period, the school will assess the number of students interested in enrollment.  If the number of students interested in enrolling exceeds the school’s enrollment capacity, a public random drawing will be held to establish the order of enrollment.  If you have any questions, please call the Shasta View Academy Administrative office at 530-233-3861.

1) ARE YOU A PUBLIC SCHOOL?

Yes. We are a direct funded California Public Charter School. We receive our funding from the state and are obligated to meet the same requirements as traditional CA public schools 

2) DO YOU CHARGE A FEE TO APPLY OR ATTEND SHASTA VIEW ACADEMY?

No. We are a free public school open to students from Transition Kindergarten through High School.

3) WHAT ARE THE ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS?

Transitional Kindergarten Students must turn 5 no later than Dec. 1 for Fall enrollment. Kindergarten students must turn 5 by September 1. Students 18 years or older must not have had any lapse in enrollment, and cannot be over age 22. Applicants must meet applicable citizenship and immunization requirements.

4) WHAT OPPORTUNITIES ARE PROVIDED FOR MY CHILD TO MEET OTHER STUDENTS?

SVA students participate in various field trips, school functions, enrichment partner programs, and other fun and academic group activities throughout the year.

5) DO YOU HAVE SITE-BASED CLASSES?

No, we do not offer site-based classes.

6) WILL SHASTA VIEW PREPARE MY CHILD FOR COLLEGE?

Absolutely! SVA offers a-g courses, rigorous curricula, college tours and more for college bound students. Our students also have the option to attend Shasta and Lassen Community Colleges, as well as the Chico State Extension program.
 
We have a dedicated high school coordinator who assists students with scholarship information, college and career planning resources, and other college planning needs.

7) WHAT TUTORING OPPORTUNITIES DO YOU PROVIDE?

We offer tutoring in Math and Language Arts at no charge to enrolled families. Tutoring is designed based on the needs of each student.
